Preface

Why I wrote this book for women and why they should read it

I wrote this book because I am concerned about where humanity is headed under male leadership. The future looks neither bright nor promising, and I don’t believe men have the wherewithal to make the significant changes needed to move the world in the direction it should go. I believe women have this ability but have been afraid to use it.
Humanity is at a crossroad. All of us know this. Our institutions, whether social, political, educational or financial, are stagnant and we seem to be caught in the insanity Einstein talked about. That is, men keep doing the same things over and over again all the while expecting something different to happen. This is the mind of man. His mind is rigid and heavily conditioned to repeat the same failures over and over again primarily because he lacks intuition and a deep sense of himself as a divine being.

Men analyze and women feel. When I say ‘feel,’ I’m not talking about a purely emotional dynamic, but a deep knowing of what is without trying to figure out why it is what it is. Thus, a woman might tell her husband, “I don’t know honey- I just have this sense that’s something’s wrong with our son. I can’t explain it, but believe me, something’s wrong."
Of course, a man might want some kind of proof or fact before he’ll take her remark seriously. But the woman needs no proof other than her gut instincts. Her knowing is all the proof she needs and her instincts are usually right on the money.
I want you to take that same awareness, that same knowing, into the things we’re about to discuss so you can determine if it’s right for you to change your current beliefs about life, death, love and relationship, so that much of the fear and madness you see going on in the world can stop, or at least, began to reverse itself. I want you to become a Power Woman, a woman who faces the realities of life head on and who does not settle for men putting her in her place. I make my appeal to you because your numbers are so vast that it will be impossible for men to stop or suppress such a mass inward change, a global spiritual reformation.

In this book I’m not going to tell you what to believe. You’ve had thousand upon thousand of years of men controlling your thought life and telling you what to believe. Men have made you what you are today. They have defined your rolls and have tried to force you to conform to the images they have created for you. All this must end. The woman of the new millennium must not settle for the junk men try to shove down their throats.
With that being said, we have seen the fruits of men, their minds, their intentions, and their actions. We’ve seen their arrogance, their need to feel important, their over inflated egos and the destruction they cause because they have no real compassion. No one knows this more than a woman. For the most part, women do not believe in the superiority of race or gender. Perhaps, some of you do. But those of you who do, do so because you have been conditioned that way without questioning the one who conditions you. Somehow, I am delusional enough to believe that the madness displayed in the actions of man is not something that would be easily grafted into your nature. I find it hard to believe that most women could enslave a person, that they could take someone else’s child away from its mother without remorse and put them on the auction block. I find it hard to believe that you would force men into subservient roles. (Although I know you’d like to give them a dose of their own medicine.) Like people of color, you have never known true freedom. You may have thought you were living under the banner of freedom but the fact that your sisters had to galvanize themselves into a movement just to gain the right to vote says something in itself. Don’t take my word for it. Look at it, observe it. What do your feelings tell you about these statements? Am I lying? Do I play with words or am I perverting the truth or taking something out of context?
The fact of the matter is men are still in control of our major institutions and everything you do must go through them. They are the lawmakers, and as long as they are, your wages will continue to lag behind theirs, your children may go without health insurance, and you will not feel safe sending you child off to a public school. Am I blaming men? Yes! I make no bones about this. It’s all about the male ego and his need for power and control.
What are you feeling right now? What does your internal mind tell you about where humanity is headed? Do you feel safer? Are you afraid for your children? Do you feel secure in your relationships? Do you feel secure in your job? Do you feel the future is loaded with endless possibilities or do you sense, along with others, that something is wrong--that humanity must change if we’re ever going to make it as a species? I believe the survival of humanity depends very much on what women do in these next few years. And I am counting on many of you to talk to each other about some of the things in this book.
